Sadaf Labs is a small senior studio, currently a one-person engineering shop with a tight bench of trusted collaborators. The story below is how we got here and how we ship today.

Solution architect and AI engineering lead. Ten plus years shipping production systems across cloud and on-prem. Owns architecture, AI direction, and the studio's client work end to end. Designs context-driven AI data pipelines, tool layers, and orchestration on AWS Bedrock, with Postgres and S3 as the durable substrate. Has shipped B2B SaaS productions for clients in Europe, the United States, and Australia. Picks the simplest system that survives contact with real users.

From a 2010 schoolyard to production AI.

2010

School, the spark

Hometown school

Got curious about how things actually work. Took apart a borrowed PC, broke it, fixed it, broke it again. Picked up the habit of asking why something works, not just whether it does.

2012

College, first lines of code

Pre-engineering, college

Wrote first programs in C and a bit of web. Started building tiny tools to help classmates with calculations. Made the call early: future is software.

2013

ICT scholarship to university

Computer science, ICT scholarship

Earned an ICT merit scholarship into a computer science program. Lived in the lab. Picked up Python, databases, and the patience to debug at 2am.

2015

AI for agriculture, final year project

University, undergraduate research

Built an AI disease detection product for crops, an early CNN trained on leaf images that flagged disease before it spread. Deployed to a small set of farmers, watched real adoption, learned the gap between accuracy on a notebook and value in a field.

2016

Graduated

BSc Computer Science

Finished the degree with a working AI product, a research paper, and a strong opinion: software earns its keep when it ships to real users.

2017

First internship, real production

Software engineering intern

Joined a small product team. Shipped a feature to production in week three. Owned a service end to end by month six. Learned to read someone else's code without judgment and to write code that does not need explanation.

2019

Cloud, then SaaS

Senior engineer, cloud

Went deep on AWS. Migrated a monolith to a serverless architecture, learned the trade-offs the hard way. Started designing multi-tenant SaaS systems for European clients. SSO, audit trails, billing, the unglamorous core.

2022

AI engineering, in production

AI engineering lead

Started leading AI engagements. RAG over real document corpora, multi-agent workflows with human approval gates, evaluation pipelines that catch regressions before customers do. Bedrock orchestration, tool-use design, the orchestration layer behind the chat box.

2024

Started Sadaf Labs as a small senior studio. Trust infrastructure for autonomous agents, production AI for B2B SaaS, and architecture work for fintech. Clients across Europe, the United States, and Australia, with the Middle East as the next region.
